Access My Health Record system

These are the steps required to access My Health Record system. You must complete all the steps in this section.

PCEHR means the My Health Record, formerly the "Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record", within the meaning of the My Health Records Act 2012 (Cth), formerly called the Personally Controlled Electronic Health Records Act 2012 (Cth).

By operation of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (Establishing the Australian Digital Health Agency) Rule 2016, on 1 July 2016, all the assets and liabilities of NEHTA will vest in the Australian Digital Health Agency. In this website, on and from 1 July 2016, all references to "National E-Health Transition Authority" or "NEHTA" will be deemed to be references to the Australian Digital Health Agency.

  • Description: An electronic summary of an individual’s digital health record, which serves as the home screen when they first open their record.

  • Description: An individual’s My Health Record can be used to collect administrative information that is sourced from the Medicare records managed by the Department of Human Services:

    • Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS) and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) claims history
    • Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)

The eHealth Pathology Report View give you a way to list, group, and sort those reports in clinical information systems.

  • Description: Reports containing details of one or more examinations or procedures can be uploaded by the diagnostic imaging provider to an individual's My Health Record. The eHealth Diagnostic Imaging Report View provides a mechanism to list, group, and sort those reports in clinical information systems.

  • Description: This conformance test specification supports the currently published My Health Record system views specifications and their conformance requirements. It provides a targeted set of test cases, managed using a Microsoft Excel workbook.
